Hi, I bought a Roku Express 4K+ 8 months ago and the voice remote has just stopped working. I tried changing the batteries and re-pairing, no luck. The light on the front doesn't light up even with new batteries.

Note that any time you're asked for a serial number on any Roku website they want the serial number of the Roku device, not the remote. You can find it displayed under Settings->System->About or under your linked devices at https://my.roku.com . The number written on the device may not be reliable (it might be a Device ID).
Just to be sure... are the new batteries installed in the correct orientation? There should be a diagram of which way they should be pointing in the battery compartment.
So, is Roku going to fix this for me? I need a replacement.
