Re: Control Supersonic TV power and volume

Toshiba brand works for Supersonic.   Music will stop after about the 7th code.   Just keep trying until music goes off.

Once the Roku remote is paired, go to settings and then remote devices. Set up the device by clicking on the Roku remote and hit the okay button on the remote. Follow instructions and the sound and power should then work.

SuperSonic SC-2411 Remote set to "HAIER".

Volume, Mute, TV off works.  TV on does not work.

Re-try Haier, skip the first positive result by pressing no and see if later ones work better?

@windcaller-  Sounds like you're pretty close.

There may be several sets of HAIER codes in the system that perform slightly different actions.  (Sounds like you found one that has separate discrete on and off commands, but Rokus can only use one of the commands.  Perhaps there's an additional set of HAIER commands that includes a single power on/off toggle command.)

Try setting up again, this time when you get to the first HAIER code that turns off the sound, lie to it and see if there are any further HAIER codes that also turn off the sound.

@windcaller-

If all else fails you may be able to get the TV to turn itself on for you.

If your tv supports CEC (Consumer Electronic Control) on the HDMI port to which your Roku is connected, turn on this feature in your TV settings.  Unfortunately many tv manufacturers call this feature by their own proprietary names.  Some common ones:

• AOC: E-link
• Hitachi: HDMI-CEC
• LG: SimpLink or SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC)
• Mitsubishi: NetCommand for HDMI, Realink for HDMI
• Panasonic: VIERA Link, HDAVI Control, EZ-Sync
• Onkyo: RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI)
• Philips: EasyLink
• Pioneer: Kuro Link
• Runco International: RuncoLink
• Samsung: Anynet+
• Sharp: Aquos Link
• Sony: BRAVIA Link, BRAVIA Sync, Control for HDMI
• Toshiba: CE-Link, Regza Link

Some other names shared by multiple manufacturers:
• Fun-Link, INlink, T-Link

With CEC enabled on the TV, pressing a Roku control button on your Roku remote (not Power, Volume, or Mute which act on the TV, not the Roku) should turn the TV on if necessary and switch the TV to the HDMI port to which your Roku is connected, all without you having to do it via the TV remote. To turn this feature on in your Roku, enable "1-touch play" via Roku menu path Settings > System > Control other devices.

Note: On some TV's you may need to have the TV do a scan or search for connected CEC devices before this function will recognize the Roku.
