Can we change the frenquency of the device/remote?

I just replaced my Roku - signed into all my accounts - and then I switched over to the cable box.  

I hit the guide button - and it jumps back to the Roku source.   My new Roku is on the same frequency as my cable?!   I change a channel?  Pops back to Roku... change the source, hit another button.. pops back to Roku...  you can see how tedious this is already.  

Can we change the frequency or I am just going back to my old Roku?

Go into your roku settings:

 

settings> system> control other devices> uncheck the 1-touch play box. Read paragraph beside it.
