Any brand I type in, it doesn’t recognize anything. I can’t turn my tv on or off or use my volume on the remote. I have turned everything off and on again so many times and updated all my software. Any answers?
Try using a different internet source like hotspot from your cellphone just during programming the tv brand, others have had success this way. Once you program the tv brand you can switch back to home internet.

Other's had success factory resetting the Roku. I have never run into this problem myself, but I have factory reset ALL my Roku recently, and turned on at least 5 new Roku devices too. A factory reset doesn't touch the remote, but in each case I reprogrammed for the tv anyways to see if it this problem showed, it never did.
