Cable REmote is not turning down/up tv volume only roku remote can

Is there anyway to turn off the Remote for volume, and use the Remote I have with my cable package instead to turn the volume up/down?

It is insanely annoying to have to use two remotes to use my TV.

So is there anyway to pair the cable/streaming remote I have to turn volume down, or am I stuck on the Roku one.

If it's truly a Roku tv, and it accepts IR commands, try tv codes in the cable remote under such TV brands as Admiral, Dynex, Sanyo, viewsonic, ilo, sansui, and zenith.
