I have two different Roku setups and the batteries on the remotes die within a matter of weeks, with both of them getting little use, and one hardly getting used as it goes to the movie projector. I have used all the major brands of batteries and seen no difference in the life of the batteries. Most device remotes will work at a minimum of several months, if not over a year, and with heavy use. This seems like a design issue, where the remote is constantly on, instead of "waking" when a button is pushed. I know several other people have had similar issues with single remotes, but I have not heard of anyone else who has two system, two remotes and having the same issue with both.
