I purchased my second roku about two months ago. Yesterday while I was holding the remote, it made a popping sound and after it stopped working and the screen went to the no power screen. I then did all the trouble shooting things, changed batteries and it still wouldn't work. 

I got my other Roku remote to see if it would work on the newer device and it worked, so it's not my tv or the device itself. 

Has anyone else had this happen to a remote? I purchased this newer Roku at Best buy so I'm not sure if they'd even take it back. My last one I bought at Sam's about five years ago and even they would take it back now if anything happened to it.

Please send me a PM with your Roku account email address, and include the serial number of the Roku device that your are having issues with the remote from Settings>System>About along with a summary of the issue you are experiencing. I'll be able to assist you further from there.
