Why should I buy anymore Roku products

Why should I buy extras for my Roku tv when something else is always needed for them to work? And why should I since they all say Apple? I don't have an Apple IPhone or Apple anything. I'm strictly with an android user

The subject to this thread seems to be a leading question that suggests maybe you personally should not buy anymore Roku products.

But I am having trouble following your other questions.

What exactly is the "something else [that] is always needed for them to work?"

Also who is it you are talking about in the "all say Apple?"

Members of the forum have indicated that the Nvidia Shield (which runs Android) is a very capable media player system.  You are free to try that.

Otherwise, if you want to give more details about what problems you are experiencing with Roku TV, we can attempt to provide guidance.

Re: Why should I buy anymore Roku products

I never owned an apple product, but I have alot of movies on Movies Anywhere and they are on the Apple tv app on Roku. Apple app has sales on movies that I can now watch with my Roku. They also have titles that no other service has like Beatles Help! and Yellow Submarine just name a few.

Re: Why should I buy anymore Roku products

I added the Apple TV app but then it wanted money. I was also looking at Roku speakers and such for my Roku tv because the sound isn't very good at all. Anyhow, with speakers or surround sound they all said I needed other hardware in order for them to work. It seems all Roku wants is more money and more money

What Roku TV manufactor/model do you have?

You aren't obligated to go with a Roku solution to improve the sound.

There is a number of soundbars or Audio/Video Receivers that should be able to work with most Roku TVs.

Re: Why should I buy anymore Roku products

You pay Apple for Apple TV.  There are several thousand other channels that you could watch on Roku instead.  Some of those want money too, but many do not.

As for the sound, my sound has been coming from my AV Receiver and speakers for decades.  TV speakers were always pretty bad and they generally got even worse when TVs went flat.  (None of that stuff is made by Roku, BTW. I think my speakers are about 35 years older than the Roku company!)

The Apple tv app is free, but you have to pay and subscribe to apple tv+ if you want to see Apple tv's own movies and series that aren't on any other service.
