Can someone explain which replacement remotes listed for sale are "point anywhere" remotes? There is no indication on the descriptions. Specifically I'm thinking I should by the "Roku TV Voice Remote," but I don't want to get it if it uses IR.
Look for remotes with Voice in the name, only wifi remotes have voice search. THats the $19.99 Voice remote, $29.99 Enhanced Voice remote. And then there's the $29.99 gaming remote, which is Wifi and has the headphone jack, but doesn't have tv controls like the Voice remotes do.

Thanks. I wanted to confirm because there's both a "Roku Voice Remote" (back ordered) and "Roku TV Voice Romote" (in stock) and I wasn't sure what the difference was. My original Roku TV remote is IR so that's why i needed to make sure that wouldn't be the case with the replacement.
There is absolutely nothing different between the two, its the same remote, the RC-AL7R.

You better make sure your TV supports a WiFi Direct remote. Check the Settings/Remote menu on the TV and see if it offers the ability to set up a new device. Some TVs might not have the capability.
