Using a universal remote with Roku Express+

Hello fellow Roku users,I have a onn universal remote(Walmart brand basically), model number ONB13AV004, I don't have the original codelist, but the two codes given by an online copy don't seem to work,so is there a IR Port at all? I have the original Roku remote, just trying to save my rear should I lose that small remote. Thanks in advance to anyone that can point me in the right direction.

Re: Using a universal remote with Roku Express+

My mother has an Onn brand remote as a backup, similar to what you’re using. I do not know if it’s the same model number, but I know there are Onn remotes that support Roku.

If you found the codes for that particular remote, it should work.

Ensure the remote works (controls other stuff), and that you have clean line of sight between the remote (which is lower than eye level) and the Roku.
