How can I program my Sony IR remote to use with my Roku Express?

Sony hasn't put out a new universal remote in ages, and when they did one had a roku code in it, that was sony rm-v320. If you're talking about a sony oem remote that was included with sone type of sony device? I doubt it would have a code either. Or if just want to transform a sony oem to just work with roku, no.

It's the Sony remote for my TV. And it is the RM-VZ320. I'm not familiar with programming remotes. Lol. Usually just have 1 for each device. This is a pic of my remote. Thank u @Edmund Sony RM-VZ320

Yes, that's one I referring to, the roku code in it is 52371. To enter code:

1. press and hold SET for 3 seconds, light should come on

2. keep pressing the SET key while you press and release the device key, that would be CAB

3. enter 5 2 3 7 1

Hi. So I've been trying to program it and I can't get it to work for some reason. The TV and roku should be turned off during the process or does it matter?

The roku you can't power off, so its on all the time. You need the tv on just to test the remote. You don't either to program the universal remote. 

1. press and hold SET until the light comes on, don't release SET

2. press the CBL button, now release both SET & CBL keys

3. enter 5 2 3 7 1
