Roku TV Replacement remote

Jump to solution

I have a sharp roku smart tv and my original remote broke. I'm currently using my phone as a remote, but I want a dedicated replacement remote. What remote will work, and how do I connect it?

@Stevebeck95

Thanks for the inquiry.

If you need a replacement remote for a Roku TV, you would need to contact your TV manufacturer. You can contact Sharp here: http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ContactUs.aspx or at 1-888-935-8880.

You can also purchase a Roku TV Voice remote that is compatible with your Roku TV here: Roku TV Accessories

All roku sells are Wifi remotes for roku tv's, you would use your phone to put it into pairing mode, then press and hold pairing key in the battery compartment of the new remote. Its about $27. with tax and shipping. Or you could go to ebay, there are million Sharp Roku tv IR remote for about $10.

The voice pro doesn't come with usb power adapter, and not all power adapter are alike, try different one and give it time. Once charged, it will not control a roku tv without pairing it to the roku first. It would control a stand alone roku like the express or premiere out of the box though. Tha's because roku tv's and stand alone roku use two different IR code sets.
