we have both a TCL Roku & a Onn Roku tv. we also have one of the roku’s that you plug into the tv. I cannot find the remote for the one that plugs into the tv and i can’t get the other remotes to work for it. is there a way i can get these remotes to work for this?

If the "one that plugs into the tv" has a male HDMI plug protruding from the end that plugs directly into an HDMI jack on the TV, that is one of the Roku "stick" products.  These use point-anywhere remotes that can reach a stick that is typically hidden behind the TV.  You can use a Roku Voice Remote which you can purchase from Roku here or find at many retailers like Amazon, Target, Wal-mart, etc.

IR Roku tv remotes can't be used on any type of stand alone roku, even if the roku accepts IR, it just accepts a diifferent IR commands. If your roku tv remotes are wifi remotes, and have a pairing key in the battery compartment, they could be paired to stand alone roku and control the roku commands, but the tv power and volume keys are probably useless if the roku tv remotes are rc-al5's.
