Roku Streaming Stick + Battery drain

Model: 3810x Streaming Stick +
Software Version - 9.1.0 build 4919-50
Remote Firmware - 2.01.19.108
Remote Model - -RC150

I've had this problem for a few months, my batteries keep dying on my remote (the include remote with the streaming stick)

They die from days to maybe a week of use with new high quality batteries..... The roku gets a few hours of light use every day
I've looked at other forum posts and I can inform the remote stays in the same spot most of the day and I am sure none of the buttons are being pressed down thus causing a drain..... I have no idea but this has happened as well after my roku 3 after having it a while too. Is this a common roku issue that happens after a device is owned for a while forcing an upgrade? I really like this device but it meets all my needs so id rather not drop more money when I've only had it for a little over a year (may 2018)

Any ideas?
