Re: Roku Power Supply Guide

Roku 2710X  and Roku Premiere 4620X

Questions:

What does the suffix X in the model number indicate?

These units require a power adapter with a small barrel.  Does anyone know the specifications of this plug?

@John1943

The suffix “X” following the model number indicates the Roku device unit itself.  Nowadays, this is the only indication of the suffix, with “R” (which indicates retail stores) additionally indicating the packaging for the Roku or its accessory.  Ten years ago, the “X” suffix additionally indicated online stores, whereas retail stores were the only indication of the “R” suffix.

The list of suffixes and its indications can be determined on this topic here: https://community.roku.com/t5/Roku-Legacy-Products/Retail-Country-Accessory-and-Unit-Codes-of-Roku-D...

My 4210X takes a 3.8x1.1mm connector  (12Vdc 1A tip+ve)

Re: Roku Power Supply Guide

The barrel jack size listed for the 2710 does NOT match the adapter I needed to use for the 2710X, I needed to use a 4.0x1.7mm jack.

Roku Power Supply Guide APR 2024

Apologies!

That wasn't the only error.

Last pulled from an Excel file (quite a while back), It was pulled through corrupted on numerous models.

Appreciate the heads up!
