As I was setting up my Roku Express, the remote suddenly stopped working. I reset the device, but the remote still will not work. The batteries are in properly and there are no obstructions between the remote and receiver Roku Express (3930, 3931 series)

Test the remote by pointing it at cellphone camera, if you see flashes its working, no flashes its broken.

You could get a cheap universal remote like the following:

Benefit of a universal remote can be programmed to control your tv volume in the Roku device. Roku code in the above remote is 3061.

mine flashes in my camera and Roku makes noise when I press buttons but it doesn't do anything on the roku.. any help there?

@kristenh, have you restarted the Roku?  Disconnect the power for a few seconds and plug it back in.

yup did all of that, had it plugged into the tv usb but now that I have it in my power outlet it works for now 🤞
