When listening to audio via the heaphone jack on the roku 3 remote, I experience what sounds like interference, frequent and annoying drops in sound. This occurs regardess of the source of content - netflix, plex, usb stick.
I know the remote uses wifi direct, so maybe something is interfering with this? My player is connected via ethernet cable to my router, so there's no problem there. I cycled through different channels on the router anyway to see if that worked but it did not.
Contacted roku and they said this was not a known issue. They sent me a new remote but the problem persists.
Changing batteries, resetting and updating remote via secret menu, updating player, nothing has worked. Still experiencing the audio cutting out. Different headphones don't help either.
1. When the Roku is wired, what band does the WiFi Direct Connect run on? The 2.4 GHz band or the 5 GHz band? The 'band' is different than 'channel'. 2. What is the make and model of your router? I hope it's a dual-band router so I can ask you to test a few things.
