Remote will not connect straight out of the box

I bought this roku back in January it’s now almost April. I have not gotten the remote to pair to the roku and stay paired. It’s pair twice before but only for about 30 seconds both times and then will disconnect before I can even set up the roku by getting it connected to wifi & all of that. What do I do?

What is your Roku model number? It's on the box, and on the device (but really small).

Have you tried new batteries in the remote? It's possible the batteries were bad from the start.
