The dog ate my Roku remote but I still have the Roku so I bought a new remote it is a Roku voice remote with TV controls 3700x I cannot get this to pair for anyting please help

It will not work with the 3700 express, later models like 3900 & 3930, yes. Sorry.

I have been looking on Amazon could you please tell me the exact remote I need to buy there's way too many options that say so many different things I really appreciate your help

No remote will control your tv ifd you have 3700 express, since the only remote it takes are IR remotes. No non-Roku tv IR remote has tv controls, only wifi remotes have that feature. Sorry. 

Roku that come with a remote with tv controls include: Express + (2019), Premiere + 3921x, Stick plus 3810X, Stick Plus 3811x, Ultra LT, and Ultra 4670.
