My Remote has mind of its own!

My remote is paired, has new batteries, and works---but the buttons all do something different than intended.   For instance, I cannot type in the password to get re-connected because each new digit erases the last one.   Before  re-booting:  Press Netlix, get something else.  Press volume, you select a different program.   The controls are all messed up!  Help.

Re: My Remote has mind of its own!

I think th÷ first thing I'd try would be to reboot the Roku.

Re: My Remote has mind of its own!

I did re-boot--3X prior to my last post.   Now I have a bigger problem:  I cannot even enter my password to get back in---because each digit erases the last one I enter.

Re: My Remote has mind of its own!

If your Roku is still connected to your local net via wifi, have you tried using the roku app on a mobile phone connected to the same net?
