Longer cord available for Ultra 4660?

I just relocated my tv/Roku Ultra and I really need a longer power cord than the one Roku provides. There's a 6.6' power cord (not Roku brand) available on Amazon that specifies that it works for the 4660, and that *might* be enough, but I'd really prefer an 8' cord. The cord will be run through a "racetrack" cable cover so extension cords are not an option (and probably not advisable anyhow?).

Is there a workaround for this? Anyone know of an 8' power cord available for the Roku Ultra 4660? Thanks Smiley Happy

For a wall mounted phone that I have I wanted to phish the wire through the wall and plug it into an outlet in the basement.   I just spliced some low-voltage wire between the brick and the round connector.  It's DC so you have to make sure you connect up the same way at both ends.

I've been advised by a friend that creating a longer cord may result in voltage drop, which could explain why such a cord doesn't seem to exist for the Ultra.

Sure, if you're talking about a couple hundred feet, your friend has a point.

I think that would be the best too. (Sometimes, they are called flat extension cords as well)
