I just purchased a new Roku streaming Stick + that comes with the long range wireless receiver. Can I get these receivers to add to my current Premier, Premier +, and streaming stick? Will they work/help with signal on these older units?
Yes, they've moved the WiFi antenna into the power cord for the Stick+ to improve performance. But no, it won't work on any other device.
I have no idea what you mean by a wireless receiver. If you are referring to the fact that the Stick uses the WiFi Direct remote, there are such remotes available for the Premiere and Premiere+. Your other stick already has a WiFi Direct remote.
If you are referring to the improved WiFi antenna that the Stick+ uses, the answer is no, you can't add that to any other device. It uses different internal hardware that only the Stick+ has.
I am referring to the new cord with the new streaming stick+, I was hoping that would help with signal gaps on my current devices. But looks like it will not work with those units.
