Hi. I have an ongoing issue with the remote. We got our Hisense Roku TV for Christmas. It appears that the remote stops working. Hitting any button on the remote will turn off the tv. We assumed the remote must be constantly draining batteries and keep putting new ones in. It will work temporarily and then stops working, making us think that the batteries are becoming weak again.
We have discovered the root issue. It seems that the actual batteries are not the issue. The remote is not holding the batteries snug enough. You have to take off the back of the remote & press the batteries in and hold them, while you are pressing the buttons in order for the remote to work properly. As soon as you put the back of the remote back on & are no longer pressing the batteries, the remote starts malfunctioning. Perhaps the springs are not holding the batteries tight enough. This must be a flaw in this remote. I haven't had the remote/tv very long. It's not wear & tear. I am extremely careful to always handle the remote gently with care. It has never been dropped on a hard floor or anything. Do you have any solutions for fixing this? thanks for any suggestions or a fix.
Thanks for the post.

Stretch the springs or fold up some aluminum foil and stuff it in at one end of the battery.
Does anyone know if Roku customer support phone line or email is going to be returning anytime soon? I was not able to email customer support. It was grayed out and I understand that the telephone customer service is not currently active due to covid19.
