Im trying to see if there is a way to connect to my roku without the wifi only using the serial number i dont have the control and i move to a different house so the wifi is different too

The 2710 is IR-only (doesnt support WiFi Direct remote pairing/control).

Unless you switch the new house's WiFi to match the old SSID+password (so that it can connect to the WiFi), you also wont be able to connect to it via the app.

Otherwise, any Roku remote will work with it, or you'll need to get a new remote: 

1) The Roku "Simple Remote" should suffice: https://www.roku.com/products/accessories/player
