Dead remote + forgotten old WiFi network

Jump to solution

The remote for my old #Roku streaming stick died. Normally the solution is to pair it with the IPhone app, but I have the added issue in that I switched routers and have forgotten the old WiFi network and password, so can’t use the recommended trick of setting up a Hotspot to “fool” the Roku stick into being on the same WiFi network.

Any other tricks before this otherwise functioning Roku goes into electronic recycling?

@HaveAQuestion

Thanks for the inquiry.

What model device is your Roku Streaming Stick?

As @Tivoburkee mentioned, if your device is a Streaming Stick 3500, we no longer offer a replacement remote for the Roku Streaming Stick model 3500. However, we would be happy to see what we can do to help get you back up and running.

Please feel free to send me a PM with your Roku account email address and the serial number of your Roku device (printed on the side/back of the device) and I'll have our support team reach out directly to assist you further.

Thanks,
Danny

Sorry but the only thing is a new remote, and if its 3500 stick, it isn't available any longer, not that they are out of them, they will never get any more ever.
