Is there a way to report potential firmware update bugs? If the private listening feature was intentionally disabled on the 2720x, it would be helpful to receive official notice so we don't waste time trying to debug the problem. If support for the 2720x is being discontinued, will there be an upgrade offer to the Ultra with private listening?
DougJ and I reported a headphone volume control problem from an earlier update, and around 11/10/19 another update disabled private listening altogether. Mongo9 and barbalita also report 2720x private listening being disabled in this time frame.

We expect this issue to be resolved in the new 9.3 OS update. Your player will update automatically once 9.3 is available.

I have an older model (2720X - Roku 2), always use the private listening on the remote, but it suddenly stopped working sometime around 11/11/2019. Software version 9.2.0 - build 4131-06. I have tried all of the recommended things, to no avail. All the channels I've tried, including Roku, Netflix, Hulu, have this problem. FYI when I start a show, there is a quick audio burst of "static" thru the headphones, but that's it.

willis im having the same problem with a 2720x. i wish they would fix this problem soon!!! through another update . i see Tanner(roku) was looking into this. i need this fixed as im hard of hearing . hope Tanner will give us an update on the situation .
I tend to suspect that the breaking (on older models) of this previously fully-functional feature (for those who had invested in a newer remote), was a deliberate move by Roku/programmers. :-(

Happens on all channels, started around 11/11/2019. I do hear a bit of "static" when I first plug in earbuds. I have tried all the recommended troubleshooting on BOTH devices, including reset devices. PLEASE PROVIDE AN UPDATE
There is another thread about the 9.2.0 update causing other problems. It would be nice if we could opt out and roll back the update to a working rev.
