Is there a way to report potential firmware update bugs? If the private listening feature was intentionally disabled on the 2720x, it would be helpful to receive official notice so we don't waste time trying to debug the problem. If support for the 2720x is being discontinued, will there be an upgrade offer to the Ultra with private listening?
DougJ and I reported a headphone volume control problem from an earlier update, and around 11/10/19 another update disabled private listening altogether. Mongo9 and barbalita also report 2720x private listening being disabled in this time frame.
I have an older model (2720X - Roku 2), always use the private listening on the remote, but it suddenly stopped working sometime around 11/11/2019. Software version 9.2.0 - build 4131-06. I have tried all of the recommended things, to no avail. All the channels I've tried, including Roku, Netflix, Hulu, have this problem. FYI when I start a show, there is a quick audio burst of "static" thru the headphones, but that's it.
I really want this feature back !!

Serial numbers: 1RE3CU021094 and 1RE3DT033223

Happens on all channels, started around 11/11/2019. I do hear a bit of "static" when I first plug in earbuds. I have tried all the recommended troubleshooting on BOTH devices, including reset devices. PLEASE PROVIDE AN UPDATE
Having this same problem. Private listening works on my phone app but not via the remote headphone jack. The volume buttons show that it is changing the headphone volume on screen but no sound at all. Just some static when initially plugged in. Tried other headphones and bm o luck but they work with my ipad.
having the same exact issue with roku 2. Have messaged RokuTannerD to please update us with the latest status.
@Kjkorzen Thanks for letting us know about the issue you're seeing here. I've shared this information with our team who is investigating the issue. We don't currently have an ETA or any potential resolution, but I will be sure to keep everyone updated as soon as I know more.
