Battery cover for remote

So, my wife dropped the remote to the Roku 3 and the battery cover broke. How do I get another one? I tried emailing Roku and no response. Is there a part # and price?

Re: Battery cover for remote

They have remotes on E Bay for around $7 but no covers. I often leave the covers off of my remotes and the batteries still stay put.

Tape is probably cheaper than a new cover...

Roku customer service said you can not buy the cover separately.

Then buy another remote. It is doubtful that any company sells "parts" for cheap plastic remotes.

I looked on ebay and could not find the Roku 3 remote with the black "A" "B" buttons and such. The remotes on there are more then what Roku is selling them for

I will likely have to. I have had success in the past where the company will reach in the parts bin and just send you what you need if its thats small

Looking at my remote it looks like, were my battery cover not available, I could wrap black electrical tape around the remote between the bottom of the actual buttons and the green game button.

A couple of turns around the remote and the batteries would stay in place with no problem and the black tape would be nearly invisible.

It would not be perfect but it would be at least somewhat better than no cover at all.

I have the latest version of the Roku 3 and there are no A and B buttons.
