I have a Roku player that included one of the first Roku remotes that had private listening (headphone jack). In using that remote the sound is decent but when I'm watching shows in Netflix or Prime or HBO that have a lot of action (like a Star Wars or Terminator) it can be hard to hear the spoken words from the actors. With all the "+" players, they all include private listening on them. Do the newer Roku's, and thus the new Roku+ remotes that are included with them have better sound over the first ones that came out a couple years ago, or are they all the same sound specifications?
Only one + model has headphone jack that is the Roku stick+ 3811 sold exclusively at best buy. Express+ doesn't, Premiere + doesn't, and Roku Stick+ 3810 doesn't have a headphone jack on the remote. The current models with headphone jack on the remote are the mentioned 3811 roku stick+, Ultra LT and Roku Ultra are the only three models that come with headphone jack remote.
The Premiere + can be used with headphone jack remote but doesn't come with it.
As for quality of the sound have no idea, hate the use of headphones on anything.
