free channels that we have been watching now give no video and scroll a message saying "content disabled"
Includes Roku channel, youtube. All were working yesterday.
Any ideas as to the problem.

That's an important piece of information.
HDCP is High Definition Copy Protection -- something the tv and movie industry had added to the HDMI interface specs to prevent people from making exact digital copies of their material. Each time you turn on or switch to an HDMI port the devices on both ends of the connection exchange information so they can each configure themselves to work with the other -- this is usually called a "handshake". Part of the handshake is that the device receiving the signal indicates if it is HDCP compliant. No HDCP, no program. If this same setup has worked previously then something has failed -- the HDMI port on either end of the handshake, or maybe the HDMI cable itself.
