no dolby atmos or 5.1 surround from roku 3810r.

no dolby atmos or 5.1 surround sound passthrough input signal from roku 3810r plugged directly into hdmi slot of denon avr-x3700h per roku support directions for connecting to receiver.  connection instructions followed exactly as given by roku support yet only pcm audio output through 7.1 atmos speaker system.  what can be done to correct this debacle?
