closed captioning

Being a little hard of hearing, I need closed captions. I set them up with my Roku Express, but it won't work with Prime video. All other channels are OK.

Re: closed captioning

Prime Video, in their infinite wisdom, have chosen not to use the default Roku controls for this function, but instead programmed their own.

While viewing a program, press the down arrow, then arrow over to the right to highlight CC. Press OK to toggle CC on/off.

Re: closed captioning

It works! Thanks so much, I had stopped using Prime because of this problem. Their site didn't provide me with that information, so kudos to you!

Re: closed captioning

On Amazon Prime I am getting the cc, but they are small, with no background and no way to adjust the size or background. I went into my prime account and the default shows white text, on a black background and 3 other presets, but that is not what I'm getting. My TCL Roku is also set to have white text on black background. Do you have any idea how I can get Amazon to recognize either their settings or the Roku settings, since it is ignoring both? (BTW - this is recent, because Prime used to have the white on black like all of the other channels.)
