Being a little hard of hearing, I need closed captions. I set them up with my Roku Express, but it won't work with Prime video. All other channels are OK.
It works! Thanks so much, I had stopped using Prime because of this problem. Their site didn't provide me with that information, so kudos to you!
On Amazon Prime I am getting the cc, but they are small, with no background and no way to adjust the size or background. I went into my prime account and the default shows white text, on a black background and 3 other presets, but that is not what I'm getting. My TCL Roku is also set to have white text on black background. Do you have any idea how I can get Amazon to recognize either their settings or the Roku settings, since it is ignoring both? (BTW - this is recent, because Prime used to have the white on black like all of the other channels.)
I see this isn't a new problem, but ongoing. All streaming services need to look at making closed captioning available, and to solve glitches that happen.
I'm not hard of hearing but there are times when I can't understand what somebody saying on the TV show and I used to turn it up really loud to figure it out but I've recently learned that if I just hit that little button on my Roku I can easily turn on the closed captioning which helps me very much as to what the person is saying. I'd also like to note that I watch all my TV through my Roku even though I have spectrum cable, nothing I watch is through my spectrum box it's all through my Roku channel. I like it much better.
