Playback Issues - Audio/Video & Power

  I’ve been using a Roku box 4670x with an HDMI extractor for a while with an optical cable to my older Denon 5700 receiver.  I’ve always gotten 5.1DD on Amazon Prime Video  as well as the new Apple TV+.  I’ve just recently noticed however that I’m no longer getting sound in 5.1DD on Amazon Prime anymore but I am still getting DD on Apple+    I’ve tried almost every combination of settings on the Roku audio settings without luck.  Though it seems Apple will come through DD on almost any setting I pick. 
  So something has definitely changed within the last 20 days or so.   I do not think I ever got DD5.1 on Netflix but I may have just not watched much on there recently.  Could this be something related to the latest software update?  Very frustrated!!!

I have had some powerful Audiophile type systems for years now.....

I really think Stereo is as good an experience as any. A Stereo setting

should enable all of your speakers and sound fine.

This is an opinion piece of course.

I think 5.1 is doomed from the gitgo.

Sounds like a question for Amazon rather than Roku.

  Maybe, but it happened after Roku did a software update about 15 days ago.   I'll see if I can reach out to Amazon though.
