Has anyone else experienced issues with the Roku Wireless subwoofer not producing bass? I’m on my third one in a month, Roku has sent me two replacements and each one has the same issue. The first two worked fine for a few days then suddenly the bass stopped working. Factory resetting them did not help. My Roku soundbar will connect to the subwoofer and the subwoofer will even play bass during the test but after the test there is no bass from the subwoofer when watching anything. The latest replacement just arrived today. I plugged it into a temporary outlet just to test and it connected and worked great. I unplugged it and plugged it into my power strip at my TV and now it’s doing exactly the same thing as the other two did. It plays bass during the test upon initial connection, but then I get no bass while watching any media. Changing the settings bass boost, normal, reduced bass or off has no impact/change in sound. 

I do not understand how three subwoofers have all had the same exact issue for me, and how simply losing power on the newest replacement has caused the issue yet again this time.

Wow, this sounds like a pain. I would like some answers too. Just got the subwoofer and waiting for sound bar.😬😬😬😬😬😬😬

I hope you have better luck than me. It's 3 months later and I still haven't gotten any solution from Roku. The last thing they told me was to try updating my firmware, which did not resolve anything. I honestly got tired of going back and forth with support and getting nowhere so I told them I'm just taking the loss and to close my support ticket. I will be replacing it soon with a different brand.

Just tested it with music, wow. Pretty loud. Sounds good enough for me. I was watching Netflix, The Blacklist, last night and felt some bass with explosives and some other action. Not what I expected but I think it helped the overall sound. Sound bar on its way, see how it goes with that.

When I first got mine the bass was fantastic, it sounded like I was in a movie theater and shook my house. I loved it, but then after it got unplugged from power and plugged back in it never sounded as good again. The same exact thing happened with the two replacements they sent me as well. The bass would be surprisingly amazing but after losing power, it just wasn't the same the bass is now very soft/barely noticeable.

Wow, I guess I just have to keep testing. The soundbar is now here and I am testing. So far so good. I’m liking it. Rear speakers and bass sounded great with Netflix. Still testing. I might never unplug the subwoofer though.

Nope, no solution. I'm still using the last subwoofer replacement they sent me that broke. Barely any bass is audible but I was past my return window with Amazon and support could no longer help me other than tell me to upgrade my firmware (which did not work) so I'm just stuck with it at this point.

How do I adjust audio settings on my Roku TV Ready™ soundbar?

Manufacturers design Roku TV Ready soundbars with unique, built-in sound modes that let you tailor the audio experience based on the content you are viewing. Whether listening to your favorite musician, watching a blockbuster movie late at night, or playing an online game with friends, you can access audio settings right from the screen on your Roku TV™ and seamlessly adjust the manufacturer sound mode – all without needing to get up and press a button on the soundbar, or grab another remote.

How do I change the sound mode?

Any time you are listening to music, or watching a movie or TV show, you can open the audio settings menu using the simple steps below.

1. Press the Star button on your Roku TV remote.
2. Use the directional pad and move to Sound settings. The directional pad is plus-shaped and is in the center of your remote.
   
   • 
     Note: On some Roku TV models, the Sound settings selection is called Volume modes.
     
     
3. Press the OK button to open the Sound modes
4. Choose the desired sound mode.

A moment after you adjust the sound mode on the TV screen, you will hear the change on your Roku TV Ready soundbar.

• Note: In some streaming channels, the Star button is assigned a different function meaning it will not open the options menu as described above. In these cases, you must launch a different channel, such as The Roku Channel, and follow the steps above. Once you have selected the desired setting, it will remain when you return to the original channel.

How do I best adjust volume?

To avoid juggling remotes, simply use your Roku TV remote any time you want to adjust volume or mute sound. With a Roku TV Ready soundbar, the visual "volume level" indicator you see on the TV screen will match the actual volume of the soundbar as it is adjusted.

Can I use the manufacturer remote for my soundbar?

Yes. Your soundbar remote can be used at any time to change the sound mode or adjust volume. Any changes you make will be reflected in the audio settings menu on your Roku TV.

• Note: If the manufacturer remote has buttons for controlling power and switching inputs, that functionality is limited to your soundbar.

Why is a manufacturer-specific sound mode missing?

If you do not see a specific manufacturer sound mode when accessing the audio settings menu on your Roku TV, the software may not be up to date on your Roku TV and/or Roku TV Ready soundbar. For more help, learn what you can do to troubleshoot a missing sound mode for your Roku TV Ready soundbar.

Thank you! Sadly I've tried that already, my subwoofer output is still minimal/nonexistent even if I have it on the "Bass Boost" audio setting. When changing between the settings, there is no audible bass difference at least not with my subwoofer. The thing is pretty much just dead
