I purchased a Roku stick and inserted it into my HDMI port. It was working fine as I was setting up the Roku stick, but then I started watching a program and my screen went dark. Do these support numbers work for an external device? If not, how do I resolve this issue.
Can you please provide more information about the issue you are experiencing? Is this issue happening on a specific channel or does it happen regardless the channel you are using? Have you tried checking to see if you are able to resolve the issue by adjusting the settings by pressing * button during playback?
Thank you. This is happening upon setup of the Roku streaming stick. I have tried the other HDMI ports and it happens on all ports. I am on a Vizio M60-C3 smart tv. When I unplug the Roku stick, everything returns to normal.
PS. Mine started working fine after I turned off the TV and turned it back on. My second post is when I was trying to set up my neighbors. The screen went dark while trying to setup the stick. She has a vizio M60-C3 TV. I tried all the other ports and nothing helped. I tried turning off the TV, I unplugged the TV from the power supply and let it wait and tried again. The screen was so dark on the setup that we were unable to set hers up.
My screen is very dark. This is initial setup. I have LG 65UH7700 TV. HELP. Using the ROKU Express 4K setup. I'll disconnect and wait to see if someone can help. I guess I'll have to take this ROKU back and get a different one? But which one? THanks.
Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? Is the screen not dark when you are not using the Roku device? Have you tried another HDMI cable to connect the device as well as using a different HDMI port on your TV?

The screen was not dark when I went back to the satellite system. I used the cables that came with the ROKU unit. Then I Finally got it to work. Unplugged everything for 5 minutes, the screen came up with ROKU, still dark, so in frustration I then switched to my satellite system, went to a channel, then went back to the Roku, then the screen became normal. So I am up and working now. Should be able to cancel the satellite system now. Thank you for replying to me.
