Roku2 Noise

I have given up on my Roku2 due to high-pitch "screeching" and "dog-whistle" noises which have become increasingly evident and especially prominent in movie scenes with ambient or background noise (e.g. city traffic).  This device has become too annoying to be usable.
I have purchased a Roku Ultra and am praying that this provides relief.

Re: Roku2 Noise

I've never experienced a noise issue like that (or any other noise, actually). But of course even if you have the latest Roku 2 model offered (2720), it's still 5 years old, and some other Roku players with 2 in their name are even older. Can't say if an internal component could have failed, as something like that is next to impossible to troubleshoot without having the device in hand.

The Roku 2 model 2720 is indeed 5 years old, but the updated Roku 2 model 4210 from 2015 is 3 years old.

Completely overlooked that one when I checked the chart. Thanks for the correction!  Smiley Surprisedops:
