Roku streaming stick + No Hdmi signal at around 1hour 45 mins

Has anyone seen a similar issue before?

We have the Roku streaming stick + which works fine until we get to between 1hr 45 and 1hr50 mins into a movie and then we keep losing the picture and a no HDMI signal message. once it starts happening we get it until we exit out and restart which really spoils the film. Sometimes when the picture comes back it is around a quarter of the screen size with the rest of the screen black. However if we exit back to the main menu then it is full screen. Resuming the movie goes back to being a small screen.

  • Happening on multiple services (Netflix / Disney + / Amazon Prime)
  • Using the supplied power lead and charger.
  • Device is within a couple of meters of the router
  • Checked and the device is running the latest software
  • Signal strength is good
  • Nothing else using bandwidth at the same time.
  • No error messages before the issue

Any help appreciated as this is now driving me mad Smiley Frustrated

I can't say that I've heard of that issue, but I wonder if the stick is overheating.  You might want to try a different HDMI input on your TV while you request the free HDMI extension cable:

Thanks Renojim, have ordered the cable. Will let you know how I get on when I receive it.

Will also try in the TV directly rather than through the AV amp to see if I get the same issue...

Av Amp does throw out a lot of heat so that maybe the cause ...
