I have just bought a roku streaming stick+ which is connected to a Samsung UE48JU6000 TV directly without any cable. The tv is hooked up via ARC to a Samsung HT-J4500 surround audio receiver. For some reason I am not getting any DD+ audio. DTS and normal DD is working fine. i can confirm the TV supports DD+ audio l so I have no idea why this is happening. Any recommendations?
Many TVs will not send external DD+ back out via optical or ARC. It requires the TV to have a DD+ to DD converter, and very few do. Since it is handling DD and DTS fine, that would be my guess about the cause.
