You mentioned the USB cable, but what about the USB power adapter? Do you have the USB cable plugged into your TV or the supplied power adapter? Do you have another one from a phone or tablet you can try?

That's what I meant by replacing the USB power cable. I don't know what youean by "adapter." On one end is the USB plug, the other end plugs into my surge protector which plugs into the wall. This provides power to the unit. Thanks

@EdHoch, that little block that plugs into your surge protector is what I'm referring to as the USB power adapter. If you have another one from a phone/tablet that you can try, give it a try. You may also want to take the surge protector out of the equation and plug the power adapter directly into a wall outlet.
