Roku causing no input?/ black screens ?/ All HDMIs blew

Good day all

had a Roku stick for about 2 months. Watching TV last night just fine. Woke up this morning. Black screens on all hdmi inputs Verizon resets did nothing. Smart TV apps will try to play and then go to black screen but has sound

it seems like something may have blew but for a Sony 75' 6 years old is beyond disappointing and only thing that has changed is the fact we had a Roku stick recently put into TV

tried rebooting. Software updates etc

Any suggestions before I give up and I'm forced to buy a new TV?

Not sure what you are getting at. So your TV is no good anymore? Are you asking us if it’s your Roku or your TV? Do you have another TV at all you can plug your Roku into? Did you have some sort of power surge? What do you mean you recently had a Roku put into your TV? You mean you bought a Roku Stick and set it up yourself? So you’re thinking that your Roku blew out your TV? I highly highly doubt that. That’s basically virtually impossible

Hi @Zpetersnj

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.

These are the most common reasons you may not see the picture on your TV:

  1. The video cable is not connected properly or the cable is faulty
    • Check that the video cable is firmly connected to the back of your Roku player and to the HDMI or composite connector on the TV. If you have a Roku Streaming Stick, then make sure it is firmly connected to the HDMI connector on your TV.
    • If you can, check to see if you have a faulty cable by connecting your Roku player with a different cable.
  2. There is a problem with the TV
    • If you can, try connecting the Roku player to a different input on the TV to see if the problem is with the connector on the TV.
    • If you can, try connecting the Roku player to a different television to see if the problem is with your Roku player or the TV.
  3. There is a problem with the USB power adaptor, or the adaptor does not meet the requirements
    • It is possible your Roku player is not receiving enough power, even if the power light is on. Try a different power adaptor or try plugging your Roku player directly into a power source.
  4. If all else fails…
    • Disconnect and reconnect all cables including the power cable.
