Roku Ultra intermittent complete loss of audio

For the past few weeks, I will be watching something on Vudu,Amazon,Hulu or Netflix and all of a sudden the audio will cease. I can always get it back by going to the home screen, playing something on a different app (or sometimes the same app, but doesn't always work) for a few seconds and then going back to the original program. Its becoming a bit of a pain. This does not happen at all if I use a different streaming device, say my Panasonic UB900 (no Vudu or Hulu though) .I'm wondering what may be causing this ? I've restarted my Roku several times with no relief. I would buy a new Ultra if I thought the issue was a faulty device, but I'm not sure how to be certain.
