A lot of times when I am watching stuff on Roku, the sound will be out of sync with the lips of the characters and other sounds will be off as well. Also, I have had happen where it will freeze up my volume control on the roku remote (like I will try to go up or down and it will go once, then freeze, then another, then freeze.)
