Pixelization is almost always caused by a network speed issue. The Roku itself doesn't have a resolution below 720p, so it's not the display resolution causing it. Make certain you aren't having networking issues. Perhaps someone nearby has set up a new access point on the same channel you're using, and now you are getting interference.
Use a computer and go to speedtest.net and test your Internet speed. If it's under 10 Mbps, it's a possibility. If it's under 5, that most certainly would cause a problem. The question would be, what speed are you supposed to have and why is it not there?

now Netflix and Acorn and all channels are pixeled.
TV channels on Spectrum are not
You've suggested your Roku is connected to your home network via wifi. Is your computer connected via wifi also, or is it a direct connection via Ethernet cable?
In any event, 1.5 mbps is too slow for reliable streaming. It may be that other things on your network were also using bandwidth so that 1.5 mbps was all that was available for your speed test.
Try shutting everything but your computer down, run only the speed test on your computer, and try the test again.

I am having the same issue. Just checked my download speed on the verizon tool and it says :
"Your router speed:111/116 Mbps A good result indicates that you are getting a result close to your subscribed speed. The speed to your router indicates the total bandwidth available to all devices combined."
Since the pixelation is a new problem (and lagging loading times) I figure it's not my router that is the problem? I restarted roku, unplugged and replugged router, roku, tv... not really helping.
