I have a Roku 3900RW, actually three I bought at once. They all run between 81C - 93C based on the secret screen function. I have gotten one below 81C to 79C by idling without the HDMI plugged in. This does not seem normal and guaranteed to eventually fail the units.
Any ideas if this is normal for this unit. The site seems to indicate 45C to 65C is normal.
Thanks for the inquiry.
It's fairly normal for your device to get warm during use, but if you are seeing a message on screen mentioning overheating, there are a few things you can do to help.
For more information visit our Support page here: What should I do if the red light is on or I see a “Your device is overheating” warning?
Keep us posted if there are any other questions we can help answer!
