Roku 1080-720 Issue - Still

Per request on older thread, I wish I could say that my system works now but it doesn't work on my older tv, still get "incorrect format." On newer tv it works great - shows 720 and appears to have received update (and detects 1080) but still doesn't work when I hook it up to older tv. What am I doing wrong??

Re: Roku 1080-720 Issue - Still

Don’t know if it fixed my resolution not holding issue yet.  Don’t have it pushed to mine nor is it available for manual download.  Must wait for ROKU again......

Re: Roku 1080-720 Issue - Still

 I have:

an Express, Device ID:7G2721084830, SKU#: 3700R. I'm having the problem where my Express reverts to 1080p display and doesn't maintain the 720p setting for communicating with my TV's HDMI port. My Phillips TV doesn't have 1080p display capability, so linking and maintaining a 720p connection is essential for my setup. I've tried a manual update, but the response is that my device is up to date at version 8.0.0: 4108 and no update with a fix is installed. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: Roku 1080-720 Issue - Still

I still have the same problem 1080-720 automatic detection. My Roku does say that it is up to date even though it is clearly not. The secret menu downloads the same version.

Model: 4630X Roku Premiere+
SN: YR00AJ264404
SV: 8.0.0 - 4108-29

Please, enable the new version?

Still can't test it. No update pushed to me yet.  Same here, secret menu option downloads same broken version.

Re: Roku 1080-720 Issue - Still

Streaming stick (3600) still reverting to pushing output at 720 instead of 1080 regardless of setting every time tv is shut off or source changed - must reset each time.  No update has been delivered.  It is ridiculous that they closed the previous thread as if the problem was solved.  Chromecast it is.

Re: Roku 1080-720 Issue - Still

Agreed but what can you do?  Roku doesn't seem to care.

Re: Roku 1080-720 Issue - Still

As per request from @RokuShawnS on older thread: My resolution issues are still there (Roku thinks the TV can do 1080, so it automatically goes there -- but my TV is only 720).  I checked the software version, and there has been no update pushed, and no option to update to a more recent version than 8.0.0 build 4108-28.

Is there some sort of slow rollout for the software update?

I don't recall the firmware build offhand that's supposed to fix this issue, but I'll double-check Monday morning and get back to you.  I'm guessing at the moment that you're not on the fixed build yet.
