Receiver cuts off a few seconds after streaming starts

After selecting a movie or show, streaming will begin for a few seconds. Then, my receiver cuts off. What is the solution?

Re: Receiver cuts off a few seconds after streaming starts

Is your Roku device powered by plugging it into a USB port on your television? The ports on many televisions only supply 0.5 amp, which is not enough to power a Roku reliably.

It is recommended that you power your Roku device via the power adapter that came with it, plugged into your house power. If you no longer have the USB power adapter that came with your device, you may have another one handy from another device that can be used -- just make sure the tiny print on it confirms it has a 5 volt dc output of at least 1 amp.

Re: Receiver cuts off a few seconds after streaming starts

This cutting off has just started. I've had no problems in the past. I last changed TV and receiver about 15 months ago. Everything worked fine until a few days ago. However, I haven't been able to stream Netflix for a couple of months.

What model # and software version is your Roku? (Settings/System/About)

What does Settings/Audio/HDMI=Auto detect show as the detected formats (highlight it)?

Does your receiver behave the same if you manually configure the Roku for DD+/DTS?

And have you powered cycled all the devices (entirely off, wait 3 minutes, then AVR, then TV, then Roku/others?)
