Solving playback issues

Suddenly my ROKU is randomly jumping from the show I am watching in Netflix to the HULU app - suggested as a download (which I do not have or want). While on the “Download HULU app” my ROKU continues to make the sound made when pushing a button (don’t know how to describe it). I see no one else logged into my account. Nor am I near anyone that could be messing with me and changing channels through the window. What’s happening?

Do you have a Hulu button on your remote?  Is it stuck?

I have the same problem.  At random times, my Roku jumps to Hulu.  It doesn't randomly jump to any other app.  Only Hulu.

@JeepAcres  If Hulu is a shortcut on your remote you could be accidentally pressing that button.

Nope.  Not accidentally pressing the button.  It's clearly a software glitch.

Take the batteries out of the remote. See what happens

Thanks for the post.

Could you try removing the Hulu channel to see if the same problem will occur? Also, some users reported that changing your screensaver and/or theme helped them resolve the issue.

I have 3 and does it on all Don't have or want app please tell whoever to fix (very upset)

Do all your 3 remotes have the Hulu shortcut button? If yes, please make sure that they are not stuck. You can also try changing your theme or screensaver as some users have reported that doing so resolved their issue.

The same thing happens on my Roku every couple weeks. I figure it’s some secret deal between Hulu and Roku lol.

My remote also has a Hulu button, and I am definitely not pressing it.
