Premiere won’t connect to TV after 1yr no issues

My Roku Premiere (3920 series)  I purchased off Amazon Jan 2020 is no longer connecting to my TV. No previous connection issues, just randomly does not work. I tried connecting to another tv and it doesn’t work on it either. I’ve turned off/on, disconnected/connected cables, and tried a different power cube. Device is powered per the indicator light on right hand side. Idk what to do? Is it just dead? My last Roku stick lasted over 4yrs.

Couple of things I'm not clear on. You said you turned the Premiere (3920) on and off. How? It doesn't have a power button. So, I'm not sure I fully understand what you've done.

Apart from that, I'm not seeing that you tried different HDMI cables, just that you tried a different TV. If you used the same HDMI cable, and the HDMI cable is bad, you'd still get the same thing. So, try a different HDMI cable.

This assumes that you have the TV on the correct input (just double check; it happens). It also assumes that when you remove and reapply power to the Roku device that you don't hear any sound nor see the bouncing Roku logo. If you do hear or see anything, let us know.

Re: Premiere won’t connect to TV after 1yr no issues

By turning on/off I meant unplugging power and plugging back in bc you’re right there is no button. Since posting I was able to borrow an HDMI cord from my roommate that I know works and still had no luck. Also I did cycle through the source settings on my TV. Forgot to add that to last post. Though when the roku stopped working it was (up until that point) fully connected and operational on the HDMI source I’ve been using all year. The only thing I see now is a message saying “No Cable Connected”. I’m thinking I’ll just have to replace Smiley Sad

Re: Premiere won’t connect to TV after 1yr no issues

@Sarabiooo

Since you have tried another power source (cube), are receiving a power indicator light, and have tried the Premiere on another TV with the same result, evidence pointing to failed device. (try lightly wiggling the HDMI cable at the Premiere to see if you can get signal...maybe loose component internally)  Also try unplugging HDMI at both Premiere and TV while both are powered On a couple of times.

The old standby is to do a Factory Restart of the Premiere.  Using a paperclip at the pinhole, press and hold for 30+ secs.  Who knows, maybe get lucky.

You should definitely get more than a year from the Premiere, may have just just failed prematurely.

It certainly sounds that way. You tried different HDMI cables, different power supplies, different power cables, If it's under a year old, and you have your receipt, try a warranty replacement.
