Premiere+ refuses to sync at 4K with our Sony TV

We have a Sony XBR65X900F.

Our Roku Premiere+ refuses to synchronize properly at 4K 60FPS. The Sony has 4 HDMI ports, but two are specifically designed for 4K high resolution.

The cables are all certified for 18 Gbps. And the Roku was just updated with the latest release. And the Sony has the latest Android TV version (8.0).

The Sony can set the special 4K ports as either Standard or Advanced (4K 60 FPS, etc.).  The Roku fails to sync properly in both modes.

We love our Roku, but if we can get this resolved we'll have to figure out a different approach.   Smiley Indifferent  Smiley Indifferent

Re: Premiere+ refuses to sync at 4K with our Sony TV

Thanks for the note here. A couple follow up questions:

- Did this work properly previously and this is a new issue that you've observed?

- When you go to Settings>Display type and select a specific resolution, then go back, and select 'Auto' once more, what resolution does your device report that the TV supports? For each display check, where do you see green check marks or red x's?

- Have you tried testing with a different high-speed HDMI cable that is HDCP 2.2 certified to see if the same issue occurs?

According to the specs on Sony's site, it appears that all 4 HDMI ports on the TV should support HDCP 2.3. https://www.sony.com/electronics/televisions/xbr-x900f-series/specifications

- Have you tried connecting the device to each port to see if you observe any changes in display recognition?

Thanks,
Tanner
