New setup - audio will not switch inputs

Jump to solution

Just purchased and installed Roku

attached to HDMI 4, remote goes through process, once I get to "can you hear music", I cannot.

Hit no it goes through steps again, still same outcome.

Still getting sound from a different input.

I can complete the setup process by hitting yes, the remote controls volume fine, and will have complete functionality with remote for all other options/uses, but sound continues to come from the previous input(satellite).

I have a VIZIO sound bar attached to VIZIO TV without issues with TV and soundbar in all other instances.

My issue was connections from satellite box, speaker, and TV were improperly hooked up, in wrong sequence once adding another device

My issue was the sound bar was directly plugged into box for satellite.

Once I plugged the sound bar into the TV I had sound for Roku and the Roku remote could then operate audio functionality.
